Rome's Museums Closed Friday

From whatsoninrome.com:

The Ministry of Cultural Heritage has announced that all museums and archaeological sites in Rome will be closed on the day of the funeral. In the rest of Italy they will remain open, observing a minute of silence at 10 a.m.

Hi Kathy, love your blog. I'm looking forward to a long visit to Rome this summer.

Anyway, I noticed on the What's On In Rome site, on the Strikes Page, that five major transportation strikes that were in the works in Rome have been postponed/cancelled because of the massive numbers of visitors for the Pope's funeral. Isn't that amazing?

Actually, you did me a favor mentioning it as I meant to, but forgot. It is amazing. This week has been amazing. We will tell our grandchildren about it. Rome is the most incredible place in the world, in my opinion. I'll check out your blog!
